GT Radial at a glance
GT Radial is a brand of Giti Tire, one of Asia's largest tyre manufacturers. The group's roots go back to 1951 in Jakarta, where Indonesia's Lim family set up a tyre business. Production later expanded into China and the headquarters moved to Singapore. GT Radial has long been Giti's main export brand and is sold in more than a hundred countries.
Giti Tire is a privately owned group with factories in China, Indonesia and, since 2017, South Carolina in the USA. In Europe, GT Radial sits in the budget price bracket. The brand suits drivers who want a low-cost tyre from a major manufacturer. The same group also owns Giti, Primewell and Runway, and by revenue it ranks among the world's ten largest tyre manufacturers.
GT Radial's summer range is Champiro – for example the Champiro FE2 for everyday cars and the Champiro HPY for sportier ones. GT Radial winter tyres go by the name WinterPro, such as the WinterPro 2. These are Central European winter tyres. For year-round driving, GT Radial offers the 4Seasons. Vans get their own Maxmiler range, and SUVs the Savero range.
