This TOP 5 reflects TyreRanker's ranking of Nordic non-studded winter tyres as of 8 October 2025. The ranking combines the results of 5 independent tyre tests (Tehnikamaailm, Teknikens Värld, UTAC, Vi Bilägare) and orders 11 tested tyres by a single overall score. When a new test is added, the ranking changes too – the latest order is always on the Nordic non-studded winter tyres ranking page.

How this TOP 5 was compiled
The ranking is based solely on the measured results of independent tests, the testers' (magazines') own final rankings and price. In each test, a tyre is compared with the best result in that same test, and newer tests carry more weight than older ones. Attribute weightings: ice 17.5%, snow 17.5%, dry roads 10%, wet roads 10%, price 10%, noise and comfort 10%, testers' verdict 10%, aquaplaning 10%, rolling resistance 5%. If an attribute has not been tested on a tyre, 3% is deducted from its overall score for each missing attribute. Teknikens Värld's placings are given across the whole test, which includes studded, non-studded and Central European tyres together. Manufacturers and shops cannot influence the ranking. A more detailed explanation is available on the methodology page.
