Paxaro at a glance
Paxaro tyres are the own brand of Handlopex S.A., a Polish tyre wholesaler based in Rzeszów. Production of Paxaro summer tyres began in 2014. Car winter tyres followed in 2015, and by 2016 the range covered both summer and winter tyres for cars, vans and SUVs. The Paxaro tread patterns were developed in cooperation with the German tyre manufacturer Continental.
Paxaro is not an independent tyre manufacturer but a separate trademark belonging to a wholesaler. According to retailers, the tyres are made in Continental group factories, and Handlopex distributes them in Europe. Paxaro sits in the budget price bracket. It suits drivers who want a tyre made in a well-known manufacturer's factory without paying a top brand's price. The brand is mainly found in Central European online shops.
The Paxaro range consists of summer and winter tyres for cars, vans and SUVs. A common summer tyre is the Paxaro ECO Dynamic. The winter tyres are designed primarily for Central European winters. Nordic drivers should check before buying whether a winter tyre carries the ice grip symbol in addition to the snowflake symbol. Neither studded tyres nor Nordic non-studded tyres feature clearly in the Paxaro range.
