Maxtrek at a glance

Maxtrek is a brand from southern China. Its owner, Junhong, was founded in 2006 in the city of Zhaoqing, Guangdong province. Unlike many Chinese tyre makers, which are based in Shandong province, Junhong operates in southern China. The company develops, produces and sells mainly radial tyres for cars and light trucks. According to tyre retailers, Junhong is one of the larger tyre manufacturers in southern China and operates in the Zhaoqing high-tech industrial zone.

Junhong sells tyres under the Maxtrek and Antares names. Production takes place in Zhaoqing, China, and the company has built a new factory in Kuantan industrial park in Malaysia. Maxtrek belongs to the budget price bracket. In Europe, these tyres are sold mainly through online shops. Maxtrek suits drivers for whom price matters most and who drive at a relaxed pace.

Maxtrek's winter tyre is the Trek M7, a Central European winter tyre. Anyone looking for an all-season tyre will find the Relamax 4S. Popular summer tyres include the Maximus M1 and Ingens A1, plus the Fortis T5 for drivers with larger wheels and more powerful cars. For SUVs there is the Sierra S6 off-road tyre. Nordic studded tyres are not a highlight of the Maxtrek range.
