Linglong at a glance
Linglong started out in 1975 in Zhaoyuan, Shandong province, as a small tyre production and repair factory. In 1987 it was reorganised as Shandong Linglong Tire. The company has ranked among the world's ten largest tyre manufacturers for years. In 2009 Linglong bought the American tyre brand Atlas, whose history goes back to 1935. This is not the same Atlas that Belgian wholesaler Deldo sells in Europe. Today Linglong is also known as a sponsor of Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Linglong is an independent listed company whose shares have traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange since 2016. It has several factories in China, as well as plants in Chonburi, Thailand, and Zrenjanin, Serbia. The Serbian plant was the Chinese tyre industry's first production base in Europe. Linglong belongs to the budget price bracket. It suits drivers looking for a low-cost tyre who mainly drive in everyday traffic.
Linglong's winter tyres belong to the Green-Max range. The model designed for Nordic winters is the Green-Max Winter Ice I-15, while its Central European winter tyres are the Green-Max Winter HP and Green-Max Winter UHP. Popular summer tyres include the Comfort Master and the sportier Sport Master. Anyone looking for an all-season tyre will find the Green-Max All Season. For SUVs, Linglong also offers the Crosswind range.
