Kenda at a glance

Kenda Rubber Industrial was founded in 1962 in the town of Yuanlin, Taiwan. In an interesting coincidence, the same small town is also home to Cheng Shin, the parent company of Maxxis. Kenda made its name with bicycle, motorcycle and ATV tyres and is one of the world's largest bicycle tyre manufacturers. In 2017 Kenda bought the Danish wheel supplier Starco Europe, expanding into the European market.

Kenda is a family-run company that owns itself and is not part of a larger group. Its tyres are made in Taiwan, China, Vietnam and Indonesia. Car tyres are a smaller product line for Kenda than its bicycle and motorcycle tyres. In price terms, Kenda car tyres are affordable. They suit drivers who drive calmly and want a cheaper tyre for everyday use.

Kenda's car winter range includes the Wintergen 2 KR501 and, for SUVs, the Wintergen 2 SUV KR504. Models designed for Nordic conditions carry the Icetec name. Popular summer tyres include the Emera A1 KR41 and the Kenetica Pro KR210. Anyone looking for an all-season tyre will find the Kenetica 4S KR202. For vans, Kenda offers the Komendo range, including the Komendo Winter KR500.
