Central European winter tyres: full ranking

Infinity at a glance

The Infinity brand was created in 2004. It is owned by the Dubai-based Al Dobowi Group, founded in 1976, which trades in tyres and automotive products. In Europe, the brand used to be handled by the group's UK arm, Goldspark. According to the trade press, Infinity car tyres were made in the early 2010s by the Chinese manufacturer Shandong Linglong. From the outset, the brand has been aimed at the international market.

Infinity is a private-label brand: the owner designs the range and orders the tyres from Asian factories. In price terms, Infinity belongs among the budget tyres. In Europe its tyres are sold mainly through online shops and wholesalers, and it is more widely available in the UK. Infinity suits drivers who drive calmly, cover fewer miles a year and want new tyres as cheaply as possible.

Infinity model names often begin with the word Eco. Popular summer tyres include the Ecosis and Ecomax, and there is the Enviro off-road tyre for light trucks and SUVs. The winter range includes the Ecozen, a Central European winter tyre. Anyone looking for an all-season tyre will find the Ecofour. Studded tyres and Nordic-type friction tyres for harsh Nordic winters are not a highlight of the Infinity range.
